She looked at the beams of golden sunlight that streamed into the cave then back at Smoke "I'm just tired that's all." she smiled at him happily.She intended to stand and so she did.She walked outside and wofted in fresh air through her nares and walked to a small creek about 1/4 of a mile away from the cave.She took a long drink of the col refreshing water and crosses the stream and grazed on the other side.Now that she was heavily in foal she was more cautious than ever she lifted her head at every noise she had heard.Her silver eyes shimmered in the sun and her coat was glowing.Although she was stout she was beautiful.

Smoke * He did not move his cream hued frame as she stood and walked away. His eyes shifted on the land around them, what he was looking for not even he knew. He watched as she moved into the sunlight, the suns rays beating off her tawny frame. They danced and pranced on her skin so lovely. Harks twisted and flicked to her. He moved slowly from his position, the closer he was to her the beter off they would be. His protection was vital because of her conditon. He knew that she would be easy prey for a hungry wolf or mountain lion. He stood a few feet away, giving her some space. He did not want her to feel like he was being possesive. He lowered his maw to the green strands below, and pulled at them daintly with his ivories. He grabed a mouthfull and then smiled at her then he resumed his feeding. Harks searched for any words she might grace him with. |

She didn't mind at all that he wante dto be aroun dher all the time after all he was carrying his foal.As she grazed upon the grass she lifted her head and nickered for him to join her if her pleased.She thought to herself I'm the luckiest mare in the world to have Smoke around she smiled and comtinue to graze peacefully.Sunbeams bounced and curved off of trees,big boulders,and many other things that lied in its path.Grasshoppers,knats,and other bugs flew all over the place it was irritating at times but it was easy to get used to.She sook her name to get the flies off of her and swished her tail for a gentle breeze that cooled the bottom of her belly.She waited to see if he would join her.

Smoke He lifted his head and moved swiftly to her side. He was happy she loved him so. He nickered to her lightly and then rested his head on her bulging stomach. The foal kicked lightly and he chuckled a small bit. He was ready to be a father, the type of father his had been to him. The kings son. He nuzzled her neck and then resumed eating. --fast forward-- He knew the foal would be ariving soon, but he did not know when and the time was drawing near. he began to pace and dance back and forth like a worried father would do. He nickered to her and went to her side. He rested his head on her neck and hoped it would ease some of the pain. He looked at her and his worried eyes filled with fear. "What can i do?" he gulped, he had never been through something like this, he had no idea what to expect. |

-Beginning of fast forward-
She searches for a small spot to have the foal at a soft relaxing spot.She finally decided to have the foal near the small creek it was a beautiful and relaxing spot just the place she needed.She smiled and layed down.She replied "I'll be fine......don't worry so much though."she laughs.A couple of hours pass the foal kicks and moves around she births the foal after waiting so long it was a beautiful Palomino Baby Girl.She was thrilled to be a mother of such a beautiful baby girl.She stood and nuzzled for the foal to stand,she looks over at Smoke "What shall we name her?"she grooms the newborn foal licking her dry.Within hours the foal is prancing around and bucking all over just playing.Calipso waits for his reply for the foal name.

Smoke Smoke watched as the little filly was born. it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He waited untill she was finished and the little filly began to prance around. He was so happy that she had been born, to the most perfect of mothers aswell. His harks twiched as she began to speak of a name for the perfect little filly. But the trouble was, what to call her. He looked at calipso and then back at the filly. " I dont know m'love, Why dont you name her" he said with a smile. Then he watched the little filly again as she romped and played in the grass. |

Calipso started thinking of names she replied "Lets name here Bijou."she said with a simile as she watcher their filly jump around and play "She's so sweet...i love her to death."she watched the foal,she stood up she was skinny aswell but for a good purpose she grazed and kept a VERY good eye on Bijou.
!-BIJOU-!
She pranced and played she was curious about everything she walked over to the creek and stuck her whole head in by accident she immeaditly brought her head back up out of the water and whinnied then shook it all off.She stretched her long foal legs out abd her palomino coat shimmered in the light.As she was being her curious self she wandered back up to the cave and her velvety lips touched the side of the cold stone wall of the cave after she inspected up in the save she galloped down the hill back to her mother she jumped the creek and landed safly on the other side she looked at her mother then nursed happily.Sfter she was done she looked at the big stallion that stood before her she walked up to him and nuzzled his chest,legs,and belly he looked safe to her,she started to look around for someone to play with ..... but she was all alone.She looked confuzed when she looked back at Smoke.

Smoke He watched as his little Bijou trotted around and played. It made him increadably proud to have birthed such a beautiful foal. the little one looked at him with udder suprise as there were no other foals for her to play with. He let out a small sigh and then walked over to her, rubbing his maw on her head. " I am sorry there is no one for you to play with Bijou" he said with a sigh, then he lowered himself on his front fours like a happy puppy wanting to play. He then spoke again "You can play with me if you want" he took off in a sprint, not so fast as the little one could not keep up, but just fast enough that she could keep pace. He turned to look at his family. what a life they had. |

She whinnied and a small frown lied upon her face until Smoke offered to play with her a smile replaced the frown in an instant she took off after him whinning and bucking happily she loved her dad so much she couldn't stand it.She reared and let out a baby neigh that filled the air of Smoke's land she wanted others to notice she excisted too. Then she proceeded to chase after him once more.
-CALIPSO-
She watches their filly's expression when Smoke told her there was no ont to plat with but lit up after he offered to play.She watched as they galloped off playing together.She was a happy mom.She chuckles as she sees their baby girl rear and let out a big whinny for the while world to hear."Go Bijou!"she cheers for her.

Smoke he slowed to a stop, gasping for every breath he could. then he dipped his head low to the little one and began to speak. "One day, this could be all yours" he said and looked out over the hills and trees. He then looked at her and sighed. " Your too much for an old man like me" he said with a chuckle and then he nipped her on the tail and took off running back toward calipso. He came to a stop infront of her, and walked over to her. He rested his head on her back and nibbled her boa. "I love you both" he said with a smile. |

BIJOU
She skidded to a stop in a puddle of mud trying not to slip panting and trying to speak,"You're not old." she walked over to Smoke "All mine?!"she looks around her it was so beautiful she was covered in mud all the way up to her hocks it was bone chilling.She walked back to the cave tripping a few times and she walked up the hill to it and layed there on the cold floor....she slept peacefully.
CALIPSO
She watches as they play she was proud of Smoke to have the time to even play with his little girl being a leader and all but he didn't have a herd so that's probably why he had all the time in the world for her unless there was an emergency.Her head hung low as to being drowsy not unhappy,to tell the truth she was very happpy "We love you too." she watches as the little foal walks up to the cave with her muddy legs.

Smoke
* He moved in closer to Calipso as the cold of the night was chilling agenst his ivory skin. He pressed his body close to hers, and draped his head across her back. He let out a deep sigh, this was truely perfect. She was an amazing horse, The light that shined in her eyes was that of dimonds and she was ever so happy all the time. And Bijou was the most perfect being he had ever had the oppertunity to be in the presence of. He loved them both so much. The company that they brought was huge. The way there eyes twinkled when they opened to see him standing there in the mornings was great. Nothing could ever take the place of a fathers love.
** He walked out of the cave that morning. Nares flaired to catch the scent of some other horses off in the distance. It was common for others to make there way through his territory and he did not mind, However this scent was one that had been lingering. He let out a small snort and stamped a foot to the ground. He wondered who was here and what they wanted.

CALIPSO
She slept peasefully throughout the bone chilling night with Bijou and Smoke,her life was now complete with them.She dreamt of their days in the future,them with a big glorious respectful herd and her daughter Bijou growing up and being as perfect as she is..not that she already wasn't.She smiled as she dreamt all through the night.
**She awoke the next morning letting her foal sleep in,she went down the hill to the creek and crossed it to her favorite spot to graze the grass was lush and covered with every shape and size of morning dew drops.She grabbed a mouth full filling herself with the nutrious grass then she looked over at Smoke and trotted back up the hill to see what was wrong with Smoke, "Is everything alright Smoke?" she said with a worried voice.
BIJOU
She slept until she heard her mother's words,she stayed in her position on the cave floor so that she could hear what was going on she was kinda scared of something was wrong.She eventually stood up not making a sound she thought to herself Thank goodness for not making a sound...she slowly walked to the entrance of the cave and listened carefully still with no sound being made.Her long foal legs were shaky from her laying on the ground then standing up she needed to stretch them but she would rather hear what her mother and father were talking about.A small breeze blew into the cave rustling leaves and tree branches above the cave,the air was cool yet damp she didn't like it she liked it warm with nothing else added to the mix.She continued to listen and waited for them to start the conversation again.

Smoke * His eyes searched for the being that was coming but it must have decided to leave. The scent no longer lingered near and was fadeing fast. He lowered his head when she came near, Her pelt shown of only pure golden beauty. He nickered softly and let the stern look fall from his face. "Yes everything is fine, But i need to make my rounds now." He said softly. He hated to leave her and Bijou alone, but it had to be done. auds twitched backward twards the cave then flipped back to calipso. "I think someone is watching us" He said with a slight chuckle. Then he nudged her softly and nickered back to his little angel. He moved off from them fast, as if wind was on his heals. Dodging through trees and jumping the logs with ease. He checked every corner and then turned around, the scent had long disapeered over the borders so who ever it was, they were gone. His family was safe. He moved swiftly back the same way he had come, back to the family he loved. |

Calipso
She looked at him "I do to think something is watching us." she chuckles and looks at the entrance of the cave and sees Bijou's little snoot peering around the corner."You can come out now Bijou...everything is just fine."She smiled at the direction at which Bijou was ging to come out at.She looked at Smoke before he left "Hope everything goes well.....bye."She smiled as he left.
Bijou
She walked out from behind the cave wall and yelled "Tah Dah!"she laughed.She got the last glimpse of her dad leaving which made her heart sink she wanted to say bye to him before he went to do his rounds.She wanted to be just like him tall and a leader,after he left and was close to being back home she was pretending to be her dad she was jumping over the same log hundreds of times and gave orders pretenting she had a herd and she just played and played as her mother kept a close eye on her.
