Smoke Cream hued body moved closer to her. He liked having her close to him. Her words floated to his ears like harmony. " I have a duty to protect all horses that are in need " If a horse could blush he would be. Then she said the words he had been waiting to hear since the very beginning. She would be going home with him, and that made him so happy. He began to dance slightly on his ivory hooves. "No need for saying sorry, You were not any trouble, Having you with me is thanks enough" he said with a smile. He moved closer to her and nursed her wound some. Nares flared and took in her scent. He could not wait to take her home with him. Maybe they would have a foal soon.. but that would be entirely up to her. He would not force himself upon her. Only when she was ready. |

Calipso smiled at him "No one has really ever cared about me like you have Smoke." she rested her head on his back she was tired but nevertheless she was still scared that Blitz would yet come to harm her ''Will Blitz ever come back?"She said terrified.Her wounds were closed but still had a bit of healing to do before they were fully recovered.Her nares flared with fear jumping at every noise "I feel safe with you.....always.".She thought to herself is this love.....if it was she loved the feeling it gave her she liked being cared for and loved.She batted her eyelashes and said "What are we waiting for lets go home!" she reared with joy she was happy once again she had a home,someone who loved her,and possibly a mate for her.

Smoke *Her smile was warming. It was bliss. She spoke angelic words that made him believe she would actually be happy with him. Her beautiful head rested on his back, it was soothing. Then she asked if Blitz would ever return, and the smile he had vanished from his maw. The truth was that he would return someday. Blitz was smokes cousin and he was always coming around to cause trouble. He could tell her no lies though, He had to tell her the truth. " Yes my dear. Blitz may someday return. But no need to fear, He wont hurt you" He said these words with a small hesitation. Not that he doubted his ability to protect her, it just saddened him that he would have to watch the mental pain she would be in when he did return. He let out a small chuckle as she spoke of feeling safe with him. He loved the fact that she thought she was safe. It made him feel like he was doing his job to its fullest. He smiled at her. "You will always be safe with me" he said. She batted her pretty little eyelashes and then reared with joy. It made him so pleased to see her finally open up to him. "Lets go home then.." And off he went. a swift gallop across the landscape. Toping hills and diving into valleys. Finally the sun was beginning to set as he made his way back to the cave that he called home. None of the rest of the herd was around so it would just be them staying in the cave that night. ** He slowed to a stop as he got closer to the cave. It had seemed like forever since he had been in his own home. He Lifted his head and looked around. Looking back to make sure she was behind him. He made his way into the cave and turned back to Calipso. Nares flared again to take in her alluring scent. He was so happy she was here with him. He shook his pelt free of dirt that had accumulated there on the journey. It was getting almost hard to hold himself back from her, and he looked her in the eyes once more. "Calipso, I know you just got here, and you are still healing emotionally and physically. But If you so wish me to, I will give you a foal. It is what my heart desires most of all" he was not lying. He wanted a heir so badly it hurt. He tossed his forelock from his eyes and looked at her. awaiting her reply. |

Calipso followed him throught the valleys and hills when she arrived with him at the cave she froze at his question she didn't have to think about it one bit "I'd be happy to!"she smiled brightly at him "I can't wait i'm so excited." she swished her tail happily and shook her forelock from her face revealing her beautiful silver eyes "I'm really happy and appreciative that you brought me here and decided to let me come with you to your herd it means so much." she pranced around happily she hasn't been this happy in forever!She laughs,rears and prances with joy she has longed to have some one to care about her and for her to have someone to care about.She immeadiatly stopped she had an important question for him "What attracted you to me in the first place?"She awaited eagarly for his response.

Smoke *Her words made him ecstatic. He was so happy that she had agreed to give him a foal. He let out a bellow in joy. He danced over to her side and rested his head on her shoulder. "You were just so quiet and you looked like you could use a guy like me" He stated with a smile. He reached up and began to groom her boa tenderly. He watched her movements. Figuring out exactly what made her tick, making sure that when the moment came he would not hurt her any more than she had already been hurt. He pressed his body close to hers and looked up at her. "Are you Ready?" he said with an even tone. But the truth was that excitement and suspicion was growing in his gut. It was getting harder and harder to hold himself back. He hoped she would be ready soon. |

She looked at him "I'd like to meet your herd first and not just to be known as a stranger you mated with Smoke."she moved her forelock from her face "I'm sorry if it's not what you expected as a respone."She watched the rising sun and looked at the dew drops on the lush grass then back at Smoke she felt bad for telling him no."As soon as i get used tot he herd i will want to have a foal i just want to get to know everyonne and get to explore the terratory a bit."she swished her tail back and forth hoping he wasn't mad at her.She picked up the scent of other horses and the sound of thundering hooves in the distance coming towards them.

Smoke * She spoke her sweet harmonic words once more. And indeed it was not the responce that he had hoped for. but he did not want her to feel unconforable with the situation. He had not seen his lead mare in a long time and was begining to think she had run off. He was saddend to tell calipso that he did not have a herd anymore and that he was all alone. He lowered his head and then looked up at her. " My herd is no more" I lead these lands alone. My lead mare has disapeared and she was the only mare in my herd. You are all i have. I am sorry if it is not the glamorous herd that you expected" he said with a frown. he really hoped she would decide to stay even though he did not have a herd so to say. He looked up to her chocolate orbs and awaited her reply. |

Calipso looked at him puzzled "You said you had a herd Smoke." she sighed and looked at him again "I'll be willing to help you make a herd again and i'm sorry about your lead mare."she nuzzles his shoulder.Her scent was very strong and it travled to Smoke's nares hastily as if it was in a hurry to get there."I won't be the lead mare.....because if your lead does come back i don't want to be in her way."she looked at him with her soft silver eyes and most of her happiness was gone pity for Smoke and the fear of the lead coming back filled her mind she shook her glossy mane and moved her black forelock from her face so she could look at Smoke directly."I guess the horses i smelled and heard were just a passing through your territory."She awaited his reply

Smoke *Nares flared as she wafted her scent toward him. He began to prance, it was almost to much to bare. He was almost druleing over her already. He moved closer to her and rested his head on her back, slightly grooming her. he wanted her to be as confortable as possible. "My lead mare understands how it is to be a lead stallion, You will not be in her way, nor would you need to be frightened of her, she was very kind, she would do you no harm" that is if she would ever come back. The fact was that smoke had not seen her in so long he honestly belived she was gone forgood. He turned his attention back to calipso. "Yes sometimes other horses pass through here to get to there homes, i dont mind though, anyone who wishes can roam these lands" He said with a smile. He sure was proud of his lands. He loved them so much. then he looked back at her, her aroma was teasing him and he hated it. He moved around to her back and then softly nickered at her for aproval. If she denied he would be fine, but if not he would proceed. |

She thought to herself Will he leave after she has the foal?Is he lying about his herd? all of these thoughts filled her head and were taunting her consience.She nickered her approval towards him."I'm giving you all my trust to be here with me when the foal arrives."she looked back at him and smiled.She stood as still as a rock and let him do what he needed to do she was a tad nervous.The sun was setting once more just as it has been doing for trillions of years stars popped up here and there the moon took its time lifting its glowing bright beautiful self into the sky.She watched shooting stars pass above her she made a few wishes each time one would pass.She nickered again in her approval just to assure him it was ok.

Smoke * Her words hit his auds as a sigh of relief. He was thrilled that she was finally ready. He softly nickered back to her letting her know he was about to start. He raised himself off his front fores and placed them firmly around her barrel, he let his teeth softly caress her boa as he thrusted himself upon her. It only took a few minuets and it was over. with his seed deeply planted he dismounted her. He made his way back around to the front of her. Sweat beaded on his forehead and chest. He nudged her softly and nickered with pleasure. He then looked up at the stars where she was looking. "You can bet on every star you see that i will be around when the foal is born" he said with a smile. He layed his head over her neck and his lids slowly began to close. what a beautiful night in Paradise it was!! |

She smiled happily she was actually going to have a family and someone who loved her just for her.She looked at him "Good."she closed her eyes and began to sleep she had dreams of her the foal and Smoke together as a family exploring the whole world of Rayara.It was morning and she was already up and munching on lush dew covered grass in a nearby field she let Smoke sleep for as long as he please she owed him alot.Her legs were wet from the grass and the end of her tail and forelock as well.She was happy knowing someone was there for her she lifted her head now and then to check for intruders when she heard an unfamiliar noise in the brush then she would go back to eating and feeding the foal that was inside her.

Smoke * Morning came very early for him. When he awoke, she was gone. He got up from his beded down area, and pranced to the front of the cave. Only to find her, grazeing outside. He pranced over to her side and lowered his head to the small green strands grabing up a mouthfull. "Good Morning darling" he said in a sweet tone. He then lowered his head to her stomach and said "Good morning to you too" he chuckled. It made him so happy that she would be staying and that she was having his foal. He lifted his head and looked around, nothing was out of the ordanary. Not today. No today was perfect. ----FLASH FORWARD A FEW MONTHS---- * He slowly walked to the cave, he had been out checking the parimiters of the land all day, makeing sure they had been secure. His mare calipso was heavy with foal now and he knew she needed him. She could not get around as well because of the extra weight and awkwardness of the foal. He reached the cave entrance and proceeded inside. She was there, she was always there, ready for him to come back. He nickered to her and then began to speak. "Hello my love, sorry that took so long. How is it?" He motioned toward her belly. He was so excited about the foal he could hardly stand himself. His first heir, it was an exciting moment for everyone. |

She just kept munching until she heard the sounds on hooves approachin her she raised her head and looked over it was Smoke.She replied "Morning."She goes back to grazing happily next to Smoke.This was like a dream come true for her!
----FLASH FORWARD A FEW MONTHS----
As she was sleeping on the cave floor she heard Smoke soothing voice and looked up "It's ok." she looked at her belly "Ok for now." she smiled the proceeded to go back to sleep once more she was tired more no since she was going to have a foal.

Smoke *Smoke danced around her in a playful manner. He was so glad that she was getting closer to haveing his foal, well their foal. He moved closer to her, and nuzzled her boa. Then he lowerd his head to her stomach and nuzzled it. Her words met his ears like music. He had gotten so used to her that he knew when something was diffrent or off about her demenor. "Whats wrong my dear" he said with a soft even tone. a million things crossed his mind, was she geting close to having the foal? was she no longer happy? . He quickly shook these thoughts from his mind as he waited for her to reply. |
