* Her ebonite eyes looked around blankly. not really looking for anything in particular, just looking. Her frame, heavy with foal by now, shifted uneasy under the weight. Once again she had done what she has always done, took off as soon as her meetings with Night were over. She had been with him, and now it was defatly becoming apparent. It was probably not the best thing for a mare to do, take off shortly after being bred. Infact the smartest thing that could have been done was to stay close to night, for his protection. But velocity did not like to be anywhere for to long, she was a constant drifter. even if it was only around his lands. Her whipcords danced slowly over her back and sides as the sun began to warm her shadowed pelt. She lowered her head and shook her whole body letting out a small soft snort. She picked slowly at the strands at her feet not really hungry at all. She glanced at her rear leg, it still throbed with pain sometimes and she knew with the increasing weight of the foal that it would cause her more trouble. Her mind began to drift again, back to the fight she had with Mistique. She really did not hate the mare, but they were not kindred spirits to say the least. She was just establishing her rank in the herd. She was nights first mare, maybe he did not love her like she wished, but atleast she was higher up than that snappy mouthed grey. She felt the foal move just slightly and she shifted her weight. Nares flared to check the area, but it seamed as though she was alone. This was Nothing new.

Night Shadow in the light. A fear to be known.
It had been a while now, and he knew Velocity to be due with the foal in some time or another, though with that thought came with the thought of her leg. The weight that would increase on it. Yes, he paid close attention to details, little or not. So let's see what he got on his hands, a fae (Mystique) that is injured and should be almost healed up, and a fae (Velocity) who is due with foal at some time. He had been making sure the two never saw each other, and right now, Mystique is on the other side of the land and is not cable to come over to this side in time to see Velocity or himself, or hear them.(OOC- hint hint onnawymfarms, not to be pushy) He saw Velocity not that far away, for he had just arrived and she should just be getting his scent. He walked silently up to her and was soon in front of her. "Fancy meeting you here," he said in his deadpan tone. What effect would a joke in a monotone have on her? Well it was the most personality that he had shown since she had arrived almost. Other than singing her little song. His abyss eyes locked and roped shut, though he saw her belly and her leg that had been the one to be hurt and they actually softened a degree. A first for him almost. His reactions gotten from Mystique had proven that he wasn't good at being caring and left her in a worst state. He was directing the two so they wouldn't meet, Mystique would just have to meet the foal after he or she is strong enough to not have Mystique poison his/her mind. He was hoping that she wouldn't say anything about herself and the foal until it was out and he didn't have to worry about an eavesdropping Mystique. Though why can't he just kick her out now? Because he was going to let her suffer being here and not being able to runaway.

* Nares flared to catch the scent of night. She knew he would be comming so it really was no surprise. She did not move her position though, she was to heavy with foal now to be moving around to much anyhow. She was not in to much pain, although the foal would be comming soon. He moved close to her, almost to close for her taste, but hey he was the father of the foal, and she could almost say she loved him. Not that she did not want to love him, it was just a trick her mind used to keep her from becoming hurt. Damage to the heart was worse than any damage to the mind. She heard his monatone words and smirked just slightly. "Yes it is quite the dareing surprise is it not" she said with a small chuckle. She shifted and winced just slightly. The pain was comming quicker now, and she could almost feel the foal drop. She moved backward and then off to the side, her face now in obvious pain. She drifted back on her heals and then layed down on the soft earth. There was no time to really feel anything. The foal slid out very quick. She rose to her feet and comenced cleaning the little filly. She hoped that Night was not upset by the foal being a filly. She hoped she had done a good enough job for his taste. This was not her first go arround with foaling, she had had 2 others, dead at birth. She was glad to finaly have one that lived. She moved back to Night, and pushed the little filly forward infront of her father. She turned her head away from the pair. "Is she good enough" she stated with a monatone voice, she would be devistated if she did not pass inspection and he decided to kill her, but she would never show it. She tossed her forlock slightly and glanced at the filly and then back at Night.

A new one arrives, Want to hear what I think about it? He saw a slight smirk grace her features at his attempt. He really wasn't ever going to change too much more. Maybe a bit more when the foal was born. Her chuckle was sweet in his shadow harks in which it rang slightly. He watched as she moved off and then laided down. The foal was arriving appearently, but he kept his position to watched over her while she was valunerable. He wasn't uncaring, and Velocity was starting to get off of his bad list to hang in between to the two. If she wasn't careful, she might fall onto his good list. After a while the foal was out and Velocity was up cleaning her.... He thought briefly of this tiny being, the first of his children. A filly, well, at least he wouldn't have an heir around to make him feel old, though he was slightly disappointed. He kept those emotions off his face and gave a ghost of a smile to to the little one. He saw the little one slide forward as Velocity pushed her forward and he bent his powerful neck down to sniff lightly at the filly's fuzzy forlock and mane. He was getting her scent and soon had it memorized and blew a gentle puff of air at the filly's forelock fuzz and nuzzled at her neck to feel it's pulse. It felt strong and he was pleased. He hid his inspections of her behind kind doings, though Velocity might be able to pick out what he was doing. He closed his eyes which gave him a softer and more peaceful look at he listened to the filly's breathing. "She better than that," he said softly in that deadpan tone that he couldn't lose even if he tried a bit harder. Though there was peaceful and contempt feel to it. He had said that with his eyes closed and they still were listening to the filly's workings. It would be the first time that Velocity might see him pleased and peaceful. He hoped he wouldn't give her a heart attack.

* Her eyes did not move off of Night and their little Filly. She watched him as he did inspections, not that it mattered much, the filly was healthy and just like the both of them, Black. She pondered what to name the little one, knowing that the curse would be hers forever. Her tail swashed back and forth silently as she waited for his words. When he spoke, words of aproval. She shivered in delight. This was her first live born foal. She could not be any more happy. She silently beat herself up though for not giving him a son. Well not yet atleast. She gave a half grin at him and then her eyes trailed off to the foal. How elegant they were made, small and fragile, yet strong and brave. Her eyes made there way to the forest line. "So what shall you name your first born?" she said with a quizical expression. She shifted her weight on her hocks and waited for his reply. OOC: Sorry its so unbearably short. will be better next round.

He opened his dark and deep eyes to look the filly over after Velocity asked her question and thought about it. A little black filly from a horse named Night and one named Velocity. Such a fanciful little thing by the way she held herself in front of her father. He thought of a few names, but suggested one to Velocity. "How about Caprice?" he suggested as he brought his head up from the filly. She hadn't said anywthing, he wondered what she was thinking. Another reason he thought of the name was because of how she was quiet but might be thinking of something else. He had a few other names for Velocity if she didn't like that one. Caprice was a word that described a sudden change, or it was just a name. Either way he didn't really care.
He watched Velocity carefully, he wanted to watch her expression change since it was likely that it would.
