The forest, dark and grey. Makes little attempt to light itself as the day heats up. Most of its life is filled with shadow. Kind of like this mares life, shadowed and mysterious. As you look through the trees you see the beast for the first time. Her chestnut and white splashed pelt was dreary and dull, Not kept in order at all. She stood motionless below the wide expansion of a willow, one leg pulled forward as if she was resting. But this is a false facade, for this demon never sleeps, nor does she rest. As you move closer you see that her eyes are closed, like she is not really there at all, like her mind is aloof and missing. Her audits move in motion with the sounds of the forest, picking out which ones are of most intrest and disregarding the ones that are not. She does not move, her body is a stone; For she has no reason to move. Rarely does she shift positions or make any movement at all. Eyes slowly open to reveil blues of ice pale. Her velvates quiver just slightly as she takes in deep and long breaths of the cool damp forest air. You see her rise her head just slightly and then return it to its original resting place. The forest around is alive while she rests among the dead.

Demon's nostril's flared open, burning with the scent of another horse. Automatically he thrust his head up towards the charcoaled coloured sky, his mane a whirlwind seeming to engulf him. In one harmonious movement he strained his chest forward and arched his crest in a challenging demeanor. If anyone was to question his strength he would gladly let out his lives worth of pent up anger. His muscles rippled beneath his bone-white pelt as he walked forward, determined to discover and if required, challenge, the horse before him. In contrast to his surroundings, Demon's white pelt stuck out like a single white cloud during a thunderstorm. Demon didn't care, he was not attempting to hide, he in fact was trying to do quite the opposite - he wanted to be seen. He wanted the satisfaction of seeing other stallions cringe away from him, it proved his strength to the world. He subconsciously relaxed his stature slightly as he realized the horse he had been so worried about was only a mare. He watched her motionless body, white splashes covered her chestnut colored pelt. His enchanting, sky blue eyes swept over her bronze pelt once more, taking her in before stepping forward. He froze mid-stride, something about the peaceful demeanor of the mare made him not want to disturb her. He decided to hold his ground until she acknowledged his presence herself.

* She still stands motionless and devoid. Audits twist slowly atop apex as something new comes into earshot. Nares flare to catch the scent of a stallion near. He was close enough for his strong scent to fully engulf her area. Her eyes were still closed, not ready to open them just yet. For she really did not care that he was there at all. She was perfectly content by herself, but if he wished to speak with her then she would. She tensed her muscles slightly and prepared for his approach. Whipcords danced across her back and legs in a lazy motion. For any stallion just looking upon her, they would see a beautiful girl all alone and try to strut there stuff. This would be all in vein though. She really did not care to go anywhere with a stallion she had no knolage of. She lifted her head just slightly and parted her velvet kissers to speak low and dark words. "What can i do for you?" she said. She had not yet opened her eyes to see the beast, but she knew he was close. If he was smart he would turn tail and run, but any stallion like that was week and useless. No she knew he would stay, she found it amuzing that he would take any intrest in a demon such as herself, but as said earlier she shows nothing of her demonic nature, She is a snake with blue eyes.

For some reason Demon decided to choose his next words carefully, completely opposite to his usual character. "I apologize for...disturbing you." All of a sudden Demon wished the early-morning sun would be more generous with its warmth and light. His instincts had never failed him, and right now they were screaming at him to run. He pushed the thought aside and continued, "You must forgive me, I was just passing through and I thought you might have been a bachelor." He let his head droop slightly as his first horrifying memory with a group of rowdy bachelors flooded his head like an over flowing dam. His muscles relax as he breathes in, taking in the scent of the cool damp forest air in an attempt to erase the memories raiding his head. He had no intention of taking possession of this mysterious mare, nor any other. He had a goal that he was going to achieve and he didn't need any mare slowing him down. His sweat soaked body glistened as the small rays of sun that managed to penetrate the forest canopy fell upon him. His tail twitched, shooing away non-existent flies. He was bored and partially nervous, though he would never admit it to the bronze mare. With that he turned, determined to leave and continue on his way.

* At this point she decided to reveal her eyes to the world. Her ice blues snaped open wide and glanced around to the surrounding area. The stag was in plain view now. His ivory body was not so much of a contrast from her own, minus the copper coloring that she posesed. He too had ice blues, his stuck out much more vibrently agenst his skin tone. his body looked to be of spanish decent, strong and masculine. He was quiet like, almost as if just being in her presence made him uneasy. For him that was probably smart, something like her did not deserve company, hell she did not even deserve to breath air. Beasts like her are best left to die alone. Not like she really cared either way, she was just as content with company as she was without. Her tail swashed back and forth slightly as she pondered the words he had said. "Youare Forgiven" she siad with a graceful tone. She had not had much company in a while and she was not about to let him leave without telling her what he was doing all the way out here in the forest of black. It was not strange for someone of her likes to be out here, but for someone like him it was strange. She hated to be the one who stated her name first, but seeing as he was just going to leave, she might as well tell her name first, even if he did not return the favor. "I am Calista, Where may i ask are you going" she stated. She turned her body toward him, just in a questioning manner. Her head tilted to the side somewhat and she waited for his reply.

Demon froze mid-stride and with hind-quarters still facing the mare, he replied. "My name is Demonio Luchador," he paused before continuing, "and I would say 'it's a pleasure to meet you' however I am unsure if it actually is." At this point his muscles rippled underneath is pelt as he slowly turned around to face the mare. Once again he studied her lean body and unusually colored pelt, noting that it appeared quite unkept. He glanced up and snorted, her eyes were the same ice blue as his own, though he doubted they were ever used to draw one in for any good purpose. He shook his head slightly and suddenly realized what he had said before, he was back to his usual self, his thoughts fed off his adrenalin. "I apologize for my insolence, you will get used to it... Not that I will be around long enough for that." His tail swished behind him, he was still bored and on the edge. His ears pert forward and he drank in the noises surrounding him like a sponge soaking up water, on the look out for anything suspicious - other than the mare of course. "Yes, you may ask where I am going. However I cannot respond for only my intent is currently known at this point, my destination is not. May I ask why you are here? It is not the usual place you'd find a mare." His earth faced muzzle rose up higher than her own, once again showing his dominance. It was the only thing he could do to overcome the constant gnawing sensation in his brain RUN. The angered squeal that escaped his tight lips surprised him as much as it did the few birds who scattered off in fear, fleeing the sound. He would not run from a mare! He glared up at her, his ice-piercing blue eyes troubled, and waited for a response.

* Her motionless body still held fast to the ground. She really did not turn to much to see him. she was really just a ghost along the his path of life, she really was not even there. Her ice blues were fixated on the woods before her, not really even paying any sort of attention to the stallions backward movements. His words met her ears. "Ah smart boy then arent you" she said right after his first coment. It was true, there really was no pleasure in meeting someone like her. Auds twitched as yet more masculine vocals filled them. He wanted to know why she was there, well that too was a mystery. She really did not know why she was here, it just seemed like a good place to stop for a while. She had picked something out of his last sentence that made her mind start to ponder just slightly. What was this ivory stallion planing. She wanted to know, after all there really was no one better at coming up with ways to cause distruction than her. "And what might your intent be, Demoios" she said in a monatone yet quizzical tone. She turned her head just slightly to see him alittle better. Her ice blues met his and then she turned back away. He was frightened of something, the air she gave off would be enough for any lighter hearted stallion to run for cover, but no this one stayed, maybe his heart was undecided, his mind light but soul dark. Who knew, all she knew was that her mind and soul were both dark and if this stallion was scared then he had every right to be. She did not say another word untill he would speak. She watched him intently from the corner of her eye awaiting his reply.

He was still glaring down at her with his troubled ice blue eyes when the mares response hit him full force, causing him to take a half step back. "Ah smart boy then aren't you"Her sweet voice had a metallic edge to it that sent a shiver down his spine. The last few moments finally caught up with him and he took large step forward, re-claiming his space, he didn't want to seem un-dominant in front of the bronze mare. What had she meant by her last comment? The aura that she was giving off now seemed slightly unnatural. Demon pushed the thought aside, she was obviously a horse, he could see her clearly with his speculating eyes. Just as he parted his lips to respond to her comment the mare spoke again. "And what might your intent be, Demonios"He froze where he stood, his tail ceased swishing back and forth behind him and his ears pert forward. This mysterious mare knew more about him than any other horse he had met, he had never given his name to anyone and he certainly had never told anyone what he planned to do. Today would be no exception. The stallion snorted and pawed at the ground with his front hoof, he was nervous and his whole body was burning with adrenalin, he wanted to attack this mare who made him so on edge, but at the same time he wanted to turn and gallop off into the distance. The mare glanced up at him and their ice blue eyes met, just for a second, before she turned away again. Though her gaze seemed strong, the fact that she turned away made him feel more relaxed. However he doubted the fact she turned her head was out of submission, it still made him feel more dominant. The wind picked up his mane and it began to encompass his face, seemingly teasing him in his time of doubt. He glanced back at the mare in front of him, he could tell she was glancing at him out of the corner of her eye. She had not answered his question and she expected him to answer all of hers? He shook his head violently, partially to get a clump of mane out of his face and partially because he was getting pissed off. "You never answered my question." he stated, and then he was silent.

* She disconnected her stare from his, not in a submissive way just in a way that said he needed to chill. But everything about his instincts were telling him the right thing to do. Run for the hills if your smart. Every horse has that fight or flight reaction, well not her; her only instinct is to fight or die. Her strange and demonic air about her made others cringe in fear and some even bow to her with out even speaking; almost like some unknown force is commanding them to do so. She reconnected her gaze with the cream stallion. only this time she turned to face him directly. His body was tense and under that pelt of ivory muscles rolled with turmoil. She was prepared for anything he threw her way, even though somehow she knew he would not attack her. She lifted one brow and then spoke. " Patience is a virtue" she said with a smug look. She had never been addressed so rudely before, but how could you blame him, being in the presence of such evil should make anyone angry. She tossed her tangled forelock from her eyes and then returned them back to the stallion. " If you must know why i am here i will tell you willingly, Not for my good, but for yours" she stated. This was true, she really did not care that she was there, but after hearing what she was about to say, he would surely turn tail and run. She cleared her thought and began to let the lyrics flow from parted velvet kissers. "My kind is a dieing breed, I have been referred to as many things, a creature of the night, a Flame walker, The living dead, and just plain evil. Horses of my nature have become increasingly hard to find, and so we roam alone, stick to the forests and shadows of night. for they are the ones who truly understand" She stated without missing a beat. She knew he would probably not even care, but it was all true. She was the epitome of the Living dead and nothing could change that. She turned her head slightly to look off into the trees somewhat. Then returned to him." I think you owe me the answer to my question as well" she said with a low melody. She did not really care what he thought, she was just a seeker of answers and this one would hopefully not be any different.

Demon snorted in displeasure as he heard the mare tell him about patience. Patience meant nothing to him; it was not a term he was very accustomed with. Their eyes locked once more and Demon felt there was a deeper meaning to the mares stare of which he was not familiar with which made him uncomfortable. He could hear the rhythmic beating of his heart inside his chest, subconsciously he began counting the beats - partially to calm his nerves and partially to make sure it was still beating. He took a deep breath, studying all the scents around him, as his ears turned to take in every sound around him, familiarizing him with his surroundings. He knew that something wasn't right because there were absolutely no animals in this part of the forest. None except the strange mare and him, maybe this was a sign...but his thoughts were interrupted by an enchanting voice as the mare continued talking. "If you must know why i am here i will tell you willingly, Not for my good, but for yours" The words barely reached the stallions ears before he froze; the aura that she was giving off now was unbelievable. He had never experienced it before in any other mare, hell; he had never seen it before in any other organism. The stallion glanced around him to see if there were any other living creatures hiding in the forest even though he already knew the answer to his desperate praying. As the mare continued speaking he had to continue battling his constant urge to flee. He began prancing restlessly, his adrenalin building up, until the bronze mare finished. The last words were like a kick in the ribs, but suddenly he began questioning himself. Was this mare for serious? How did he know she wasn’t purposely attempting to get him to show his submission by fleeing? No, there was definitely something wrong with this mare, but to his surprise he felt a sense of concern flood over him. If what the mare spoke of was true, well, how would he like living in shadows all his life, afraid of being seen. His tail began to twitch behind him and he had to stand still for a moment or two to get it under control, surprisingly he wasn’t that nervous around the mare anymore. He glanced at the mare with concern-filled eyes but stopped himself before he could say anything. Maybe she liked living like this, every horse was different and they didn’t all see his way of living as the most ideal thing in the world. The stallion’s ears pert forward as he took in the last sentence the mare spoke, once again asking him of his quest. He got his raging emotions under control before responding, “Horses will die - the ones who don’t deserve to live.” He lifted his earth turned muzzle to analyze the bronze mare's reaction, suddenly seeing her from a different perspective was interesting and calming.

* Well this was quite typical. Most equines upon meeting her feel sorry for her. She could see it in his eyes that he wanted to help, but honestly there was nothing that could be done. The life of solitude and darkness had slowly eaten away at her soul until it no longer existed. She rolled her eyes slightly but so that he could not see. She did not want anyone to feel sorry for her lifestyle, it was her choice. It really was not all that bad anyhow. She listened as the stallion expended words with somewhat of pent up anger behind them. She raised one brow at the sound. Her face read of calm confusion. "And who would these other equines be?" She said with a chuckle. He did not look like the type of stallion who was up and ready to kill. By the looks of her, that was more her territory. She looked off into the trees again, noticing that all life had seemed to scatter from the area. Except them. By his body movements she could tell that the whole meeting had almost given him an anxiety attack. She shook her pelt just slightly to free it of the bothersome pests that decided to make there home there. she lifted her head slightly and then reconected her gaze. The power that her mezmerising gaze seemed to cast caused many to become lost and lulled by the sight. She once more let vocals fall from her maw. "You dont look like the killing type to me" she said with a huff. She watched his face for any sign of change. and waited for a reply.
ooc: sorry its so short.

For some reason Demon's nerves had calmed to the point where he felt quite comfortable with the mare. His tail continued to swish behind him, this time not in nervousness but to shoo away the flies that where buzzing annoyingly around him. More of the suns rays penetrated the forest canopy and reflected off his pelt, to many this would be potentially blinding but he knew the mare would not be affected by it. As the mares first words reached his anticipating ears he flashed a crooked smile, at least as much of one as a horse could manage. He had met many along his travels who did not take him for the killing type, this proved to be quite an advantage to him and he used it often to lure horses closer to him. His ice blues would enhance them to come closer as did his natural charm and generally calm aura. Then he would let his years worth of pent up anger come out, focusing it on the horse in front of him. Often as he was fighting the sun would reflect off his ivory pelt and momentarily blind his contestant allowing him to provide the vital strike to defeat his opposition. He would never dream of hurting a mare unless of course his life depended on it, but even then he would find it a struggle to fight. "The 'other equines' are of no importance to you," he began in an almost sneering manner, not that he intended to be rude, but he didn't want anyone to find out - yet. "And I know, I do not appear to be the killing type, but that's not so bad is it?" The stallion arched his crest in an attempt to stretch his tense neck and glanced back down at the mare. ooc: haha dont worry, same here...

* Calista sighed and then fell back into her own thoughts. How anoying that this stallion would not tell her anything. But it was only expected, she was not really giving out any information either. She closed her ice blues once more and began to emerse herself into thoughts of deep intention. What had he ment by that others would die? did he mean her? well not that it matered, she was most worthy of death. She did not fear it, infact she embrased it. She opened her eyes once more and then spoke. "Now now, lets not get testy" She said in a soft monotone voice. She was incressingly becomeing board with the situation. He was like all others, nothing intresting to keep her here. She flicked her tail back and forth slightly and then turned away from him. " Well this has been the most plesent of meetings but i must bid you fairwell, Hope you find whoever or whatever it is you seak" She said. and with those words she softly walked away from him, back into the forest. The darkness that consumes her soul.
