Graylin Long daggers moved the spoted vix over and arround the rocky tera under her. she liked it here, she was high off the ground and the danger and chalenge it posed for her was unbeliveably tempting, she was not one to be scared of anything. nothing was to great of a chalenge for her, she was just as good as any stallion and she could fight like one too. she has had to fight for her life in the past, and has done so with pride. she was never looked at as a week individual, she was trusted within her herd, but now she had to find a new life.
Gray blue eyes looked at the mountain above her, oh how she loved the mountains, she sort of blended in with them, it was like her home away from home, while other fillys prefered the safety of the medows and the sands, she prefered the mountains and the forests. they provided the best cover. it was easy to see why she liked it so much, she was not the most common looking creture out there, she was spotted. not many horses she had ever seen were spoted like she was. a beautiful gray undertone with dark black spots. she did not care if others thought she was odd looking, it just made it more of a chalenge not to let her walls down to just anyone. she deffinatly has trust issues.
she came to a small opening in the clifts it was like a small cave or something similer, it was not very deep and provided just enough shelter for a few horses. nares rose to the air, she could tell others had been here, but she did not care, she was not one to be fooled by stallions, she could outsmart most of them. she was a wild hearted vix, and that was the way it was to stay.
she began to scan the horrizon, a storm was comming.. I think its best if i stay put here untill that storm passes she thaught to herself. as the lightning flashed upon the night sky she watched in amazement it was like her whole life had come down to this, she was on her own now..time to make the best of it.

Gray clouds rolled across the skies along side the breezes, their puffy outlines blocking out the sun for miles around. The wind whipped grasses around like play toys, turning the atmosphere into a chilly one. Moisture heaved down upon all living creature around, and any ant could tell that Lady Spring was heavy in the air. The season of both showers and life had finally come to chase away the harshness of Princess Winter. Every week was full with the possibility of rain. Until now it had passed over the lands of Rayara, but this storm was going to be a heavy one. Where lightning flashed and thunder boomed. A night where filly's and colt's ran to their mothers to take shelter by their safe sides. When the birds nestled deep within their perches and snakes slithered below ground. But where did the wild equine go? Where did this magnificent creature take shelter? Well, that would remain to be seen.
All that could be seen of me was a dark blur as my legs blurred over the ground, every so often allowing me to fly as all legs were taken from the ground. Mane and tail flew out behind me, streaming in the air as the wind blew wonderfully through my fur and dried my eyes. The land passed as I ran, already I had flown over miles and miles of unclaimed territory. Why? Even I do not know. Urges like this don't go unnoticed, and running makes me happy. It gives me a chance to work out the muscles that roll beneath my pelt, jerking with every movement I made. With a snort, I slowed my pace to a slow lope and raised my head to the sky, sniffing the air. Up ahead were towering cliffs that looked dangerous, but were nothing a mare like me couldn't handle. The Arabian was raised and bred for harsh climates, for their sure-footedness and easy going across slippery dunes and pits - mountains, even. So this? This wouldn't be a problem. Easy as oats.
My pelt was already drenched with sweat from my run, but I didn't care. Lowering my neck and pushing forward through my chest, I trotted up the cliff side with extra care. High-stepping in a prancing fashion, I skipped up over the rocks; sending some scrabbling down to the cliffs base. My careful eyes searched for flat surfaces and strong rocks that could support my weight. I circled around it iin a spiraling fashion, moving upwards with every step. I was sure that if I went around the cliffs I would be able to find an easier way, but that was simply too long of a trip. Before I knew it rain was falling from the sky and washing the sweat from my coat. I was drenched before I knew it, and the wind chilled me to the bone. Water dripped from my mane, tail, muzzle and underbelly. I shook my pelt once in awhile, but it did little help. I grit my teeth together and continued on, unwilling to give in to the elements. Lightning reflected in my eyes and thundered shattered my ears.
Scrabbling up the side of the cliff, I pushed and with one giant leap found myself at the top. The surface was almost flat here and not far off was a cave. I knew that there was another horse here, but I didn't care. Whether it was a stallion or mare didn't matter to me - neither did their temperament. Trotting over and into the darkness of the cave, I shook my fur; sending water flying in all sorts of directions. Opening my eyes I looked around to see another vixen. This would be interesting - as conversations with me usually were.

Graylin
The Night sky flashed with power, raw and magical. it danced from cloud to cloud keeping a rythem and moving ever so fast. she watched it in amazement, ofcourse it was not her first storm, but it was a nice one, the power shook the rocks above her. Thunder cracked down loudly and she pined her harks back, not in thret, but in the pain of the sound pulsateing in her eardrums. she looked once more to the skys, grayblue eyes scaning for anything that might be of intrest. she could see the rain, flowing silently accross the valley, heading straight for her. before she knew it, it was upon her, but she was safely inside the shelter of the cave.
Nares flared and filled with the sent of fresh rain and something esle, equine in nature. it seemed like the creature that made its way up the side of the steep incline was looking for shelter from this hazordous storm. she did not mind shareing her spot, for she would want someone to offer to share if she was in need like this. she moved over somewhat, the hoovefalls came closer and closer, it was moving fast. again she let her nares fill, the equine who was coming was a vix. this would be intresting. she thought to herself. she looked and watched as the mare came to the cave very quickly. she shook her black pelt free from the water of the storm. not knowing this mares entent, she steped back somewhat and rose her crown slightly, not in domminance, but curiousity. she looked just as suprised to see Graylin as Graylin looked to see her. silence filled the cave for a moment. before she decided to speak. Some Storm... she said and noded to the front of the cave. she then looked back to the mare, and spoke again. The names Graylin.. really she was not the type for words, she really did not have much use for them, she was alone most of the time anyhow. she could not form them into fancy long poetic vurses, so she just stuck to the basics. that was the easiest thing for her anyhow.

I looked over the mare before me with critical eyes, my nares flaring to take in her scent - just so I would remember her in the future should we ever meet again. We were of the same height, but she was more stocky than I. If you were to compare us it would seem that she was more sturdy, just by looks alone. Her pelt wasn't uncommon, but not particularly "normal" - so to speak. She had dark points (the ears, muzzle and joints), and mostly gray in color. She was flecked with black specks - what was called an appaloosa to the common folk. A star dotted her forehead, almost perfectly round. Her eyes were dark. We were quite different, her and I, if you went by looks alone that is - I was yet to get to know her personally.
My own pelt was a dark bay, black in this absence of light. My bodice was slim and petite, with an arched neck that led to long, slim ears and a particularly dished forehead. A star was centered on my face in between my eyes, though it was stretched out to vaguely relate to an asterisk. Pitch black eyes had an icy stare, but seemed to burn with a fire that only I seemed to possess. My mane was short and relatively thin, split on either side of my neck. It was black just like my fur, only the tips faded from a deep auburn to an almost palomino like color. My tail is thick, bouncing against my back legs. It too was black, but instead of palomino tips it was streamed throughout my tail.
I watched her skeptically, not saying a word. I chuckled under my breath as she stepped back, like I was some demon from hell...oh wait, maybe she did have a reason? Smart girl. I myself lowered my head in a relaxed position - I wasn't here to get into trouble, I just wanted to rest. Why start up drama if I wasn't in the mood to finish it? Granted, if she wanted to start something I would easily comply, but otherwise? I just wasn't in the mood. The wench seemed surprised to see me, but I guess she should have. It wasn't everyday that mares decided to climb a dangerous cliff, risk their lives and then magically meet in a cave.
My ear twitched on its own accord as she spoke, "Black Lightning - but Lightning will suffice." I nodded in recognition of her own calling. "What's a mare like you doing all the way up here? Nothing better to do?" I asked without really caring to hear the answer. Flicking my tail as thunder shook the ground beneath my feet. The rain was coming down hard and it almost seemed like there was hail mixed in. The plants would sing by tomorrow morning and the grasses would be particularly pleasant. The rain was like a big gray sheet and even a cat would've had a hard time seeing through it.
