Velocity Black pelt baked all day long in the sun, she was so glad that the coolness of the night had brought some confort in its wake. her grey eyes looked into the dark nothingness that stood before her. she could see only one thing..Freedom.. but that was a long way off, and she was not sure how to reach it, she did not want to stay here anymore, she missed the rocks, and the caves and the outcroppings that had been her home before Night had fallen upon her and almost takeing her hostige. it was such a hard thing to comprehend, would it be easyer to run, or wait till he had another and then take leave. but either way it was comeing, she began to sing a small song in her head, it was a lullaby that her mother had taught her. Never give in... never give up... all in good time... We all have good luck... if you hold on tight... and stick out the rain... only you can make things change...grey eyes looked down at her feet, she could barely see them, but she remembered how to use them, one foot out, then the other, she moved slowly, for this night was darker than most. then she came to a slow canter, then a full out run, she was out of there. Faster and Faster she never looked back, but before she could cross the barrier of his lands she fell, her leg twisted back in a hole. a loud crack could be herd from what seemed like miles away, she lay on the ground motionless, was she dead, had the fall killed her, the pain was numb at first, but slowly the red hot heat of pain sereed through her whole body, she wanted to die now, she wanted it bad, she wished someone would kill her and put her out of her misery. but she could not move, she just lye still, and began to drift from the pain, into an empty place, somewhere she could feel safe.

OOC- I hope it's ok for me to use your song/poem.Night was back from the encounter with the other fae and he had just entered his land when he heard a snap from somewhere close by. It was loud, he then went to check it out. He needed to see what happened. It had sounded almost like the snapping of bone in which he would hate if he was right. He trotted over and saw a motionless shape on the ground. He slowed to a walk and then stood at the form's head. It was Velocity. Dear Velocity, the one that wanted freedom in which he had given her, her choice. He looked down at her and snorted. What should he do, her dagger was caught in a hole. Then that annoying little presence came into his head. I see something had happened while I was gone. Want to hear a song that lingers in her head? I'll let you finish it off, it seems to not be finished to me, but you decide.
I'll figure something out, now whisper it please. Night then heard Serpant whisper it and he thought of what to do with it. He watched Velocity and figured it wouldn't hurt too try something. "I see someone has not been careful. My dear, dear Velocity.
Never give in... Never give up... All in good time... We all have good luck... If you hold on tight... And stick out the rain... Only you can make things change... M'dear listen closely, As I say this.
You have to never give in, And never up. For that could be the last of you...
You're in quiet a prickle aren't you?" he had whispered in her harks as he started the song. His voice had been that of little emotion. One that he usually sounded like. He was waiting if she would respond.

Velocity Blackness surrounded her, it was like she was in an endless pit of black. no noise no pain, she was free. she moved effortlessly accross the rocks and hills, almost flying, her daggers never once made a flaw. she could see blue skys and trees, she was happy. her black pelt shown nothing but radiance, she was quite the sight. she moved from dagger to dagger with little to no effort. was she dead? she sure felt like it, for there was no pain or suffuring. there was bliss. Something started aching at her head, it was like presure, the worst kind of presure, then the blackness started to fade into a bright light, the brightest light she had ever seen before. but still no forms came to her eyes, still the presure was there, hanging heavy on her head, then suddenly the pain..oh how the pain seared again throughout her whole body. it was mind numbing pain. at this moment there was no time to think, no time to talk, or even look arround, she only thaught Breath in and out. she was regaining conciousness. Slowly words started forming in the voice above her, it was evedently Night, for he had to have come when he herd her fall. this was perfect, lyeing unconcious at the feet of the king. she began to focus on his voice, as it guided her closer back to the surface. he was singing her song?? that was odd, could he read minds? how would he have known the song, unless she was singing aloud and did not know it. he was finishing the song too. he was telling her to live, to be strong, even though all she wished for right now was death to take its daggers and dig in. she did not move yet, she was still disorented. black harks twitched alittle, then she began to notice all the little things arround her, things that she had never noticed before, how the grass felt under her body, the way the air smelled, the way her ribs expanded when she breathed in and out. all things she had taken for granted. then the pain again.. another burst of pain, she noticed that her mangled limb was still stuck in the ground, she could not move, it was to much, nothing could help her now.. she did manage to say a few things before the blackness took its icy hold over her again.. Ni..Night? Ill never give up, Ill never give in..and then she sliped away again, the presure began to subside, and the blackness covered her again, it was like all the weight of the world was gone, that empty place that she felt safe once more.

He watched as Velocity hadn't respond. Then her lyrics danced out weakly. He listened as she slipped away again. He lifted his crown and looked over to her mangled leg. He walked slowly over and made the hole bigger by pawing some of the dirt from under her leg and it fell flat. It was laying on it's side now, like it should be, but a horse can not stay on it's side forever. He walked slowly back to where her head lay, it showed peace, one of the peace of death... A forever sleep take everyone would eventually take, but not yet for Velocity. Stupid, yes he blamed her and that was where blame was to be put. Stupid her to not see the hole, stupid him for helping her. He only let's her stay here if she wanted to, but this was not the time to thing like this.
He then started to whisper in her hark again, " Then show me sweet. Show me that you'll hold on tight and stick out the rain..."
He pushed Serpant away, not now he would whisper to Serpant. They both knew that he still liked Velocity, the way that he might even start to love her. Though he would let her go if need be, and forget her name... Leave it in the dust till he would forget it, but he knew that he would never forget it. He hated love now, he really never wanted to fall into it's blinding ways. Though he was lucky that he still only liked her as he might not be able to save her.

Velocity The empty place that she was being held captive by her mind was slowly becoming crouded. crouded by her own thaughts and crouded by memories and things that could come to pass. it was like she was being shown what her life could be. there was nothing but words flying arround in her head, it was like life was slowing down, showing her to live. pictures of what her life was and what was to come crouded the little empty place where she was hideing. Presure...and then more presure, that damnd presure that weighed heavy on her head came back. it was like a thousand trees falling on your head all at once. it was so painful. and then the blackness was fadeing into that bright white light again, it was a peirceing light, it took up her eyes. lyerics slowly began to form in her harks, night was still there. that was strange, she did not expect him to stay. he told her to live. to hold on to this life, even as death knocked on her door and asked for her hand. she turned it away. she would try to live, after all, she needed to see if what her mind had showed her would come true. she began to come round again, and she could see some forms but did not move yet. she could feel her leg, the pain and all, was laying flat on the ground again. but the pain was still there and it still was killing her. harks twitched again and she spoke once more. Thank you..for everything she was not sure what to do now, she had never been in pain like this before, she was sure it would be the last of her, but she was going to fight it as long as she could. her head rose and then fell once more to the soft earth below, she was trying to move because she could not stay on her side much more, the presure of her doing so would surely kill her. but she could not move well. so she balanced her head ontop of her neck and began to raise it up, slowly.. she did not want to fall again.

Night waited, to see if she would die. He would have to drag and push her body into another land, or bury her bodice. She was just barely one of his land. For his sake she came through, actually it was for her sake but that didn't matter right now. He has always noticed that he was cold hearted, even to himself sometimes. It suited him perfectly, but this fae was breaking through his cold heart. Why? Would all faes do this to him? If so, then why not leave this fae to die? Blah, he had better things to do then argue with Serpant, for Serpant always gave an answer to his problems.
He listened to Velocity's voice, the words that it sticked together, and he tried to hear what she truely meant. He was not one to be thanked, and it bothered him some. He watched as she tried to lift herself up from laying on the ground. He lifted his crown from her hark and went to her other side and helped her up right. He had pushed her with his head to help her up. He stayed by her side, watching her in case she needed help. "You were in quite a jam weren't you Velocity? Don't thank me, for you may not be able to stand on that leg again," he said to her. He didn't like this, it was like something was putting setting him up. To that he would try his best to avoid.

Velocity the presure began to slowly subside from her head and for that she was ever so thankful. she had never felt anything like this before, this gut wrenching pain. but she began to get up anyhow, with the help of Night, she stood for the first time in what seemed like a life time. it was like a new filly trying to walk for the first time, only a filly had 4 legs, velocity only had the use of 3 at the moment. it was hard to decide what was more hurt her leg or her ego. she was never one to ask for help, but she needed it now more than ever, she could not begin to imagin how the pain would affect her. Grey occs looked arround, the blackness still incompased them all, it was like it could be dark forever, but the sun would kill her eyes, so she preyed it would not rise, not yet. harks came to attention as she rose slowly and held her head to the sky nares flared wide, and then the rain..slowly the rain began to fall, it was like it was telling her to live on, thats what she was ment to do. suddenly the fear..the fear of what had happend came to the surface she turned her head to Night and looked at him with her grey eyes opened wide.. Wha..I..this is..i could feel it...i could feel the pain..the presure...The peace..i could feel...death...it was all a bit much to comprehend all at once so she slowed down to keep her mind and body from passing out again.. she looked at him for answers..although she did not know if he had any to give..she hoped he did

Night watched as Velocity stood up with only three legs. It seemed that she might not be able to move too fast again for a while, maybe for longer than that. She was lucky to even be alive appearently. He watched as she turned her gray orbs to him. Those that were wide and showed her soul, a weak one that showed fear. He kept his gaurded, something was setting him up for a heart change it seemed like. He didn't want fate to guide him, but it would either path he took. He would not have a heart flip yet, he didn't want to and it didn't feel like he ever wanted to. He was closed up to the feelings of others, but Velocity was his weak point. The point that he cared about more than he has of most others. In other words, he was soft on her because he liked her and was falling for her. He listened to her shakened voice. "Velocity, calm down and cleaer your head. Take things one at a time and don't freak out. I'll give you the hard fact now. You may never go faster than a trot ever again if that doesn't heal right. Now keep off that dagger and that is all I can tell you for now. Only time will tell about what will happen," he told her in a monotone voice. Something was messing with him, or someone. What ever, he didn't care, even if this is for real he would think of something.
He then started tracing circles onto Velocity's neck, not too far down from her head. He needed her calm and that was as far as he could think of for now. He needed her to have a calm, cool, collected head. That way she could help him come up with an idea to help her.

Velocity she stared at him with eyes runing wild. she could not comprehend what was going on.. it was too much, she listend as he spoke to her, words of fact. she could not deny what he said was true, if her leg did not heal right, she would never use it again, she would never run free over the hills or be able to navigate the rocks again. it had to heal, for her legs were her freedom. she hoped forward to him, as he began to trace circles on the nape of her neck, she began to calm, to relax..but the pain was ever there. it was strange to her to be balanceing on two back legs and only one front, deffinatly difficult. she began to clear her mind of all its raceing thoughts and began to peice what she saw together. she closed her eyes and began to speak. It was lovely..the blackness surrounded everything, it was so empty. i could see myself running the picture was so sureal, the feilds and rocks everything.. and then the blackness again.. there was no pain, no suffering. then the light..oh that light was the brightest i had ever seen, it brought me closer to the surface and then i herd you, telling me to live.. so i told myself i had to. then the presure came back and i could not stay concious. the blackness has its way of creeping into your very soul and diging its icy grips deep. but still the fact remains..death is peaceful, living is what is hard. and with that she opened her eyes, she looked at night, she knew he felt little remorse for her, hell she would not feel remorse for herself if she had done something like that. but somehow she wanted him to care for her, she could not do it alone. it was hard enough staying alive. she looked down at her mangled limb, she still had feeling in it, she hoped it would heal.

Night listened to what Velocity had to say about death. However calm it might be, it was there for those that have done their part for the world and needn't be there. It might be peaceful, but it was a prison, or at least it sounded like it was. To be alone and have all of your pleasure be at your dagger tips. "Life is suppose to hurt Velocity. That way it can teach you and you know that you're still alive. I rather have pain then enturnal peace. I rather have pain and fight through it. Now you should do what's best for your leg. Maybe soak it in the chilled water some where and let it stay numb for a little," he suggested and turned his head away from her to look around. He then looked back to her and wondered what she would say. This was getting to be too much, he would have to help her more than this, and maybe caring about her would help too. Though he would have it come from his, bit by bit. He was not one to flip his heart in one day, but he was certain that this will happen only for this fae for now. He would hate it to be for everyone.
He flicked his harks to Velocity and then around the terra and back.

Velocity Her auds listend to what he said, but it took some time before it sank in to the full extent. what he said was true, if we did not feel we would no longer be alive. but still in her head the fact remains that she came so close to death she could reach out and take it if she desired..why did she stay, to feel what seemed like endless pain, to feel what.. she shook her head slightly, it was still hard to sort out her ravaged thoughts. she turned her grey eyes to him as he told her what to do about her leg. Yes i supose that would be a logical thing to do. she hobbled over to the deep creek that was not far off, it was very difficult to move, especialy on 3 legs, she did not like this, it was hard and it hurt, her leg felt like it was in a million peices but it was plainly obvious that it was not, just a straight break. she looked back at night who watched her, she flicked her auds to him. Mind helping me down? she said with a half smile, holding back the pain from sreaming its way out. the blackness of the night was begining to fade and the light of the sun began to show through the clouds and sky. it made the whole sky a beautiful blue hue. she looked down at the crystal clear water, it looked so cold, but she was sure it would help her.

Night watched as she hobbled. He did remember something that he figured he would tell her once she was down. He had to help her, just lovely... He snorted and went to her side. Supporting her with his side, he carefully lowered her, while lowering himself at the same time. He rather have made her do it herself, and the sarcasim that he could hear from Serpant wasn't helping. He figured he would tell Velocity what else he thought of. "You know, being alive also means that you can still feel pleasure as well as pain," he told her. It was true, with out the other, the one would have no reason to be there either.
He then got up from helping her down and watched to see what she would do.

Velocity The icy water felt so good to the touch, it was numbing and that was what she wanted, to numb the pain. grey occs floated to Night, she looked in his dark eyes and began to float away, this was a place she had not been before, it was a place of questions. questions that she knew she could not ask him, for she knew he was not the open souled type. Why was he helping her? he did not care about her, she was just a fae in his herd, nothing more, nothing less. but yet, the fact still remained that he was helping her live, even when all odds said for her to die. strange. she listened as he spoke, words that she knew were true. she began to think, what would he mean by that? but she did not say it. she moved in the water some, its grips made her feel safe. but she could not stay in the water forever, she had to move. she had to get that leg well, or she would never be able to live fully. a simple answer was all that she said. yes Night, you are correct in that statement. life has its ways of throwing you hardballs, and taking the things you love most to teach us all a lesson, i just have not figured out what this lesson is yet, although i really wish i could figure it out.she looked at his face again, it was strong and fetureless as usual, but within those stone eyes, she saw something, something he probably did not want her to see, light. it was a small one, and not very bright, but it was beautiful to see that he did have a soul, somewhere deep inside, maybe that was her lesson, something had to stop her from leaving so that she could expose the soul of the dear stallion. maybe not, but she could see it, and she wanted to know more about his soul, her soul was in its very essence dead, but it lived on for a reason. she just had to figure it out now.

Night watched Velocity as she was in the icy water. That water should have been able to numb her pain easily. He felt the pull of questions come to his mind, drawn from the depths of his mind. Old and new alike were the questions, ones from when he was a colt and then ones from this period of his life. That was when he noticed the fae was speaking. Lessons... He was getting tired of lessons. They were usually painful for him, he always learned the hard way... always...
"The lesson you've already have learned and so have I. You will just have to figure it out on your own now. Though there are other lessons some lessons are pleasurable and most are not," he said to the fae before she looked to his face again. In her eyes, he saw that she saw something in him. He couldn't figure what it was until he noticed that he was acting more open then usual. He figured to cut that out so he blankened his features. Not around another horse would he want to show his emotion. Not after certain things that happened in his old herd that he lived in as a colt. They were tough horses. Everyone of them, even as rookies you were tough.

Velocity She pulled herself from the water now. she was tired of its help, Night was right, she had to do this on her own now. and so it would be done. His face darkened and closed himself off from the rest of the world. this was a typical thing to happen when someone was trying to gaurd their very soul. and so she too shut herself down, and withdrew her thoughts into that empty place where she had felt so safe, he had probably done the same. she hobbled away from him and the creek. she looked at the clear northern sky and a sigh fell from her parted kissers. she turned her head back to night and with an emotionless face she stated.. You are right night, I have to do this on my own, it is better that way, my lesson to learn, there is no need to drag you into all this. my leg should be healed in a few months. i will come back and find you when it is good and rested. Thank you once again, you saved me, and you did not have to.she limped back to him, brushing her maw accross the nape of his neck, she said nothing more. she hobbled away, into the forest to rest untill her leg was healed.
