Rain driped down his face as he made his way slowly through the tangle of trees and underbrush. The storm had been going on for days and he really hated the constant anoyance it brought. He lifted each foot with caution as he placed them on the ground infront of him. The rain brought a cooling sensation to his hyde that was much unconfortable, but there was no shelter to be found. Atleast not in this area. He came to a slow stop under an oak with large limbs that streched out overhead. It did not stop the rain it only slowed it some. He could not see 5 feet infront of him for most of the night, the rain and wind whiped at his eyes stinging him like a swarm of bees. Finaly when night fell the storm let up and he could finaly start to move again. He looked down at his side where a large gash was healing. It was tender to the touch and he did not like to mess with it. He looked back infront of him and pressed on. As he walked flashbacks of the crash filled his mind, and of how he escaped. He relished the fact that he was free from humans and there stupid sport, but now that he was wild he would have to prove himself more than ever. Not proving himself to others as much as proving himself to him. This would be a challenge. He moved out into a clearing as the rain stopped and he lowerd his maw to the earth pulling at the fragile strands. He lifted his head to the surrounding sky with a mouthfull. A faint snap of twigs off in the distance came flooding to his sensitive auds. He knew something was there, it was just a matter of time before it made itself known. He stood quietly on tall stilts. By any means he was a tall horse being thoroughbred in breeding, and he was quite hansome being a briliant grey in color. But humans had ritten him off as useless because he did not bow to there every whim and break easy. He was worth more than that, and he obviously had a bigger purpous. He watched the blackness entently as the snapping got closer. Eyes narrowed in wonder. Who was out there, and who was watching him? ooc: Open to everyone

Welcome to the Unknown to You...Welcome to the unknown, You seem new, One that hasn't ever been wild, Or you wouldn't stare in wonder.
Pelt of grey, Smell of rotten hay, Hay that decays.
Red blood of life, Looks like you've been cut by a knife, Gash of warm sticky liquid. Fae of grey, a bright snow white maid stood under a tree in the rain pour. Pelt glowed in the dark, but just as a hazy ghost, when she saw another ghost of ivory she pointed her harks ahead. Her dampened wet tassels and banner hung down, but as she saw the horse figure/ shape stop, she walked forward towards him. Yes it was a he, a stallion with a cleansed wound from the rain. She stepped on a twig on accident, and stopped before the stallion head held high. She had separted from Masqurade and missed the fae, but looked at the stallion. She dipped her head slightly to him. "Bonjour there stallion. I am Luna," she said to him kindly enough though she was known for speaking out for fae's rights. He hadn't seen her when she could have seen him, why was his vision not as good as her's? She wondered but didn't ask. Her ivory pelt had turned darker and was slicked against her bodice. The rain danced on her back, the rhymic tapping loosened her muscles and made her pelt glow slightly as the stallion's was in the rain. He had ebony tassels that were wet down too and hung limp.

ooc // assuming its night-time & raining? >.>x night. the seeping obsidian absorbs everything in its path; nothing is excluded. a time when prey must fitfully rest. a time when predators come out to play. as a rule of thumb, night is related to darkness. darkness to evil. however, there are several exclusions from this generalization. night is a relief from the heat, it soothes the sun sores. a whole other world awakens. but this was not an exclusion. the wisps left behind this creature were indeed malignant, bitter even to the wind. evil? that is perhaps an overstatement. but everything dark epitomizes. it tears. it will seek revenge. it will seek justice. this particular it happens to be a her.
xx don't run for cover, or prepare yourself for the worst... though it wouldn't hurt. perhaps my descriptive entry is tightening your gut? automatically shifting your mind to show this banshee she is nothing compared to you. think as you will, she could really care less. but please, let's play nice. if you can't say something pleasant, everyone would really rather you just keep your trap shut.
xxx the dual toned fatale came slowly, almost hesitantly. for one, she really didn't care. it was dark - she could be sleeping. secondly, whatever commotion was going on over the hill hardly raised any interest. but it was something to pass the time. heck, if equines started up a glee club over there she would never catch a wink of sleep anyway. at least this way she could shoo away the nuisances. and so her dark silhouette crested the top slowly, but with her extreme height came sooner than most. as soon as eyes were brought into focus, the stage was inhabited by two ivory creatures. it was only now she realized the rain - their coats looked off. though their scent came slow because of the precipitation, she knew it to be a male and female. how lovely. they matched.
xxxx xanthipphe lowered cranium to pluck a few stalks from the earth, though with little interest. she meandered slowly for her lack of caring about consequences. not that she was snobby or standoffish; rather the opposite. this one was a firm believer in earning respect. neither had sought immediate introductions of her, and so she offered none. now, if they questioned she would obligate... she wasn't one of those femmes who thought their name needed to be earned. grow up - it's just a name. but not exactly of the friendly variety to come out and offer it directly. really, this overo was not a conversationalist and so made no approach. position was quite neutral; close enough to hear if anybody referenced or sought information from her, yet far enough to display her hermit lifestyle. and f neither said anything to her, she was content to listen. something to pass the time. As the downpour contenued he stood still, quiet almost. The night brought a kind of peace to his mind that nothing else had given him, and for that he was thankful. Auds twitched and swivled arround atop his crown and nares flared to take in the scent. The thing that was watching him was closer that it had been before and he bared his ivories in antisipation. He awaited its approoch and his eyes narrowed. Finaly the scent met his nares, a fae. He let his velvate kissers fall back over his ivories. He did not want to scare her. After all he was a stallion and females were on his mind. He lifted his head as she made her way out into the clearing. She was grey in tone, just as him. Only she was lighter and of a more small and slinder build, just one look could tell she was arab in decent. He watched as she moved closer, almost dancing in the rain. She stopped when she got close enough to speak. And for that she was lucky. For him being new to this country he trusted no one, and they should not trust him. Her words flew like birds to his auds. like a sweet melody that had been sung before. "Bonjour there stallion. I am Luna," He looked forward to her, not taking his wild eyes from her. Well that was blunt he said to himself with a grin. He had not asked for her name, nor for her presence but since she was here he might as well talk to her, maybe she could help him. He still had questions about this new life. The wild one.. His darker intentions would not be brought up as for now, and the fact was that he had very dark intentions. Evening there Miss, My Calling Is Ariate. he stated with a gruff tone. He arched his long neck and pawed the earth below him. He looked back at his side and winced silently, he was not week and he would not show that to her nor anyone. He looked back at her, his tattoo in plain sight now. He belived it was his best feature, so he did not mind showing it off. Besides he knew that not many horses in the wild had come in contact with horses that were once captive by the humans. He would seem strange, but he liked it. He turned his head to the east, there was a large hill standing in the way of where he was going. Nares flared again, and this time another scent came to him. Yet another fae was watching them. He could not see her just yet, but he wanted her to show herself. He was not in the mood to have others spying on him. He let out a very loud and booming cry, to let her know to show herself. After all how lucky could he be? two faes in a row. Shocking. He turned his attention back to luna. We have another visitor he stated in the same gruff tone as before. And he let his eyes float around the area. awaiting her arrival.

Mysterious and different, I don't fall for it...
She could see the stallion better now, around one of his orbs was a circlar tattoo like thing. She didn't know what it was and didn't bother to find out. He seemed nice enough, but after hearing his name and pawing the ground, her sense of fore longing warning came to mind. He let escape from his maw a loud cry after turning his head to the east. She looked as well and could just make out a figure in the rain. She knew that he had turned his attention back at her, when he let his gruff words slide into her harks. She could barely make out from the damp feeling of the area that it was a fae. Luna could think what she looked like to this fae. A happy-go-lucky grey fae that was very social. Try again, she snapped back at Blitz a tracker stallion that had threatened to kill her. Though with two faes around it was most likely that this stallion would get a big head no matter where he was from.
She shook her head a bit and silently turned toward the hill where the fae stood picking at the ground. She walked gracefully, flowing over the ground like the water the flowed over her pelt to the fae, standing a respectful distance away and dipped her head to the fae. "Hello there miss, I want to give you my name before I leave. I'm Luna, and there's no need to give your's," she said to the elegant paint. Yes, she thought the paint was elegant because of reasons unknown, but it just popped up into her dream box somehow.
She dipped her head again after a small space of time and treaded the ground, away from the two. She let her senses be her guides, her sense of fore warning was never a good thing. Thus, she had acted soft and she didn't want to stay around to brew on that thought. She had acted like a flirty fae and that got on her nervous so much.
OOC- Sorry to pull Luna out, but I just thought of something else for her to do.

x that was unexpected. in all honesty, the fleet departure was a surprise. may even go as far as saying startling if more attention had been given to the situation. skull raised as the alabaster female made her way over. the quick, to the point, words were a relief. hypnose had taken on the role of listener over speaker, and appreciated the continued silence. not that any judgment had passed on the female - besides concluding she was either talkative, friendly, or of a proud nature for coming right up and instigating conversation. it seemed she might've been a unique and interesting character. hypnose was almost disappointed when the ivory creature left. almost.
xx ah yes. there was a duplicated creature still on the other side of this hillock. if memory served correctly, he had released a call demanding her to show herself. . . really? he was a newcomer without land or any other right of authority and he proposed to command her? how entertaining. she would humor him in a way that would probably irk. show herself? she had nothing to hide. stilts propelled into action, and carried massive yet cat-like mass a few yards closer. cranium pondered whether or not to resume grazing, though something inside her said it would be rude. hypnose was a lot of things, but outright rude? nah. besides, right around this train of thought, the heavens seemed to crack a little more. the downpour was not cold and completely bearable, though discouraged the instinct to forage. the impression was given that she relaxed. closer inspection would reveal that it was a false facade; no hind was rested and muscles remained somewhat tense. not to be confused with nervousness or anticipation mind you. experience has taught to trust no one, and so had little mind to relax in front of him. she was confident in the fact that if a melee broke out she could hold her own, though nature was on her side. what cause had he to pick a fight with her?
xxx crystal blue eyes watched the cream stud through the rain and only now noticed he had a strange mark surrounding his eye. different. curiosity was not enough to ask or pay it much mind, just noting it for future reference. twin towers slowly rotated atop apex, though at least half of attention was on the behemoth below. she had obligated to his request to reveal herself, but that was as far as it would go. this one had no mind to meander over and strike up a conversation. if he did so to her, she would tolerate it. if he did nothing or turned and departed as well, then hypnose would remain where she was. not the first storm she would wait out. alone.

*He Watched as the cream hued mare moved away from him and over to the paint on the hillside. Her words were quite akward for him to hear. He was not used to another horse just coming over, saying hello and then just bolting like something had scared them out of there wits. But for her sake she was probably just picking up on the energy that he put off. He was not a happy go lucky stallion and so he would never be. He did not move from his position for a few moments as the other mare made her peace. Oh well.. so he was not as lucky as first thought, but it was something he would get over. **He kind of stood there with a half blank stare on his facade. Not knowing whether to approch the mare or just turn around and walk away like she was nothing. ah he hated feeling torn, one part of him saying "hey lets go see the new girl" and the other part saying "she is not worth your time, just move on already". But there was something strange about her that held his intrest, an energy and air about her that made him want to stay close. It was like they were connected by some weird force that she may or may not be aware of. A kindred spirit, those were the ones that were hard to find. *** One steel dagger lifted and then fell silently on the earth below him as he made his way over to her silently. Each step he took, he found himself wanting to get to her faster as if she was subconciously calling him. "Hold on boy, your moving way to fast. Slow down, you gotta figure out what she is to you, and then figure out how she is doing it" He said to himself. Her pull on him grew stronger as he moved in closer. Auds flipped back and forth atop his crown and he let short bursts of air come silently from his nares. He stoped a few feet from her, where he could get a good look at her. She was large in bone, but was dainty at the same time. Her duel tones were almost Intoxicating. And they stood about the same height. He let his eyes fall from her for only a moment to take in the surrounding area. It had not been long since he was freed but he already knew that he would be one of the greatest rulers of all, one day somehow. Maybe she would be in his plan, and maybe not. But as far as he was concerned right now, he had to find out what pull she had on his energy. After that, who knew. ooc: Sorry its kinda lame, but it kinda gets the point accross

ooc // 'tis lovely ^-^ warning on upcoming post... I am exhausted and want sleep... so post may or may not reflect that >.>x warm trickles ran smoothly over hide as if pathways were predetermined. long bangs were smooth, resting near crest of nostrils. posture indicated a relaxed demeanor, yet all the signs were absent. muscles were not calm, crystal eyes burned with a fiery attentiveness, tail was still - the occasional flicker of a lobe the only movement. don't confuse frame with fear. ha; that would be a joke. time had simply taught her to trust no one and so remained alert on the beast and his movements. it was her confidence in herself that gave the facade of relaxing; she knew full well she could easily defend herself against most intruders. don't confuse confidence with arrogance.
xx it was only now, as this alabaster stud drew nearer that she noticed his peculiar attributes. many times she picked up on them instantly and from a distance, but due to lack of interest had only just gotten around to it. this stag had some odd obsidian formation about an eye... foreign markings to her, but would make him stick out in a crowd. also, it would appear that this male had quite the gash. oh dear. wouldn't want that to get infected... wouldn't need any outside help to end a life. just a noted weakness - if battle did ensue she would be fair and leave it be. however, all bets were off in making him contorting his figure so it would tear more on its own. she's just a peach. eh?
xxx no judgments were passed and no curiosities born. though hypnose was notoriously hermit-like, she had had her fair share of stallion experiences. all of them entered her life quickly and left just as soon. another reason why she rarely judged a book by its cover - she'd rather learn more about the creature before sealing her judgment. when the behemoth came to a cumbersome halt -not by outside means, but it seems some internal conflict was brewing, his mind on other things rather than his actual approach- just feet away. perhaps it was a different reason he seemed not his 'full', 100% self, or maybe she was just going insane altogether. any way, it was only a quick notice and only the minimum required attention was paid to it. odd. still no vocals from the beast? this put her in quite the pickle. as mentioned before, she was far from a conversationalist and so had little to no idea of what to utter. seeing him eying the realm -after the typical eying of herself, hypnose spoke the first thing to come to mind
" I would wait until there was some clear sunlight to map out the territory. Darkness and rain don't paint the prettiest picture " [/i] xxxx I know, I know. speech was probably lacking in what was expected. no hello, no introductions... not the usual. the paint had made no attempt to hide the harshness of voice, nor the odd sound it produced due to the fact it hadn't been used in quite some time. in fact, it was probably the longest coupling of words this banshee had spoken in years. don't judge her too harshly. flag o' war flicked canvas in idle silence. she had not commanded; only pointing out the obvious. if he wanted to know the place well... it was a free country and he could do so 'til he was sore. hypnose's care factor here was really quite low. yet, blue ooids watched the grey brute carefully, taking a tiny amount of satisfaction of watching his... individuality. something many equines nowadays seemed without[/color][/sup][/blockquote]

*Ah she speaks. He listened as the words poured from her mouth. It was to be expected, with him just starring at her like she was some sort of steak. Noticing her words were talking of him watching the area, He had forgotten he was even looking around. So much for being witty. He turned his attention back to her and once again his mind began to reel. of course she was probably expecting his name by now, most equines of any right mind would be. He shook his head slightly and actually began to pay some sort of attention. " yes i suppose you are right" he said with a gruff tone. Its not that he was not paying attention to her because she was not worthy. It was the complete opposite, she was almost too worthy. She had some sort of draw on his mind, like she was draining him of his only senses. He had to shake himself free, or he would die. ** Towers rotated slowly as he watched her painted frame. She sounded like she was feeling awkward that she was the one who had to speak first. That was purely his fault. He would have introduced himself right off, but for some reason he just could not. He let a small sigh come from his maw and began to speak again. " I am Ariate" He had been so vague with her that he would not be surprised if she did not return the favor. He was not big on holding long drawn out conversations like other stallions. They woe and coax the mares of there choosing by using chivalrous words and phrases. No short and sweet was his way of speaking. Mostly because of his solitary life, but partly because he really just did not care what most had to say. But her, he was interested in what she had to say.

x and the thunder rolled. a flash of lightning lit the area as if it were daytime, though it was engulfed in darkness right after. the rain still pounded; it seemed as if it had its own pulse. her own coat was throughly saturated - her jet color seemed even deeper, her white more in contrast. one thing left untouched were those eyes. those cold, deep blue eyes that seemed to look forever - that knew too much. they revealed nothing, yet their facade did change periodically. they could be interested, insulted, indifferent, content, etc., though most of the time they were as is. blank. not as in dumb blank, but merely reflection zero percent of emotion. why? because she rarely felt emotion. she was not hollow, void, numb, or whathaveyou, rather that she had been calloused by life. enough to make it harder for any external factors to play a part on her.
xx thorns rotated slightly as the vagabond's words came. xanthipphe remained perfectly motionless 'cept for the constant breathing. the few seconds that passed seemed like decades, for during this time she stared. at this ariate. judging? breaking down? admiring? studying? not even she knew. her mind told her to stare and so she stared. but it was only for a few precious seconds, and then azul ooids blinked. bright pink tongue went over lips, to slurp at whatever precipitation hovered there before speaking
" Hypnose "
[/i] xxx yes, not very much to make a conversation. but she had started it; let him keep it going if he so wished. he had given his calling and so she returned the favor. serpentine stretched and shook itself; long wet dreads attempting to cling to either side. when movement ceased mane looked quite unkempt, though with some time and drying off would settle properly. she wasn't one of those femmes too concerned with looks[/color][/blockquote][/sup]

* His eyes flashed wide as the lightning hit them hard. He shook his pelt free of the excess water and then looked back at the mare. She was no where near perfect, and neither was he. They were both sort of misfits, the world was out on a course for collision with them and they were fighting it off the best they could. It was all so strange to him why he felt like there was such a draw toward her, like something pulled him in but at the same time bounced him back. He did not move closer to her, no this was something that most other stallions would do, get closer and then move in on her like she was a side dish. But for him, he kept his distance. Making sure that she was comfortable with his presence. He lifted one fore and then began to speak. " What a lovely Name, Hypnose" he said with a power studded voice. His scaring around his eye where the marking was began to hurt just slightly. He really could not figure out why. He shook his head and looked back up at her. "Think this will clear up soon?" He said with a dull but masculine voice. He really did not think she would answer his question, it really was not meant to be, it was just small talk. To try and get her talking. He had never met a more quiet mare. Most he had met were shy at first and then when they opened up you could not get them to shut up. It was quite annoying. He lowered his head as if to somewhat nudge her to speak. He looked into her obsidian eyes and waited for a response.

i this was different. never before had she faced a stallion that had yet to not advance upon her. either they felt their man-hood pulsating and tried to savvy up to her, or they didn't wish to bite off more than they could chew, and so left. but here this Ariate remained, and still he stood ignoring the fact that they were of separate genders in the middle of breeding season. well, he likely wasn't ignoring it, just not making it obvious. for that, Hypnose was almost grateful. almost. please don't start rambling on how she was some feminist and believer in female rights and all that nonsense... just idle comments she appreciated that floated about the brain.
ii obsidian twin towers heard him speak, though frame remained motionless for a few moments more. and finally, appendages were summoned to action. a brief snort echoed through nasals -not one of disgust or whathaveyou, rather just a note of action- as talons began to tear up the moist sod. it was a slow-moving walk, one that held suspense for surely any moment this banshee might break into a run. but right before gait transformed into a lope, she drew oppositely alongside the ivory beast. pace did not decrease, and though it might intimidate some to have a 17.2 hand horse come charging, she knew he wouldn't budge. as the two contrasting carcasses drew within a foot of each other, serpentine stretched slightly to make sure he heard her
"You're asking the wrong person"
[/b] iii actions were not even remotely near an attempt at flirting or even seducing. if he saw fit to allude it to that, that would be his own problem. she was merely ready to get a move on, and to display that she wasn't afraid of contact. a bit complex, perhaps. though this wasn't an intention. just stop thinking about it. the instant bodice was beyond his own, pace was quickened to that of lope. though this overo had never minded any rain, she was a fan of getting some form of rest. time to either find a very thick grove of trees or a cave. if the gray brute dubbed Ariate wished to follow, she wouldn't mind a bit. may be interesting to have company for a change. there was nothing in her demeanor that would discourage his advances -well, no more than her hermit-like attitude he had already witnessed- and yet nothing to invite him. she had given him a chance. he could either take it or leave it[/blockquote][/color][/sup]
